Hahahahaha, back to update my unmiantained blog. Well i shall give a sumamry of what happened. I finally did the gig that I have been writing alot about. It has gone resonably well, I screwed up the solo for the 1st song so i kinda improvised it and it went unoticed and the other 2 songs were flawless I am proud to say. The organizers gave a Line6 Flextone amp which gave me quite alot of guitar tones to chose from. I chose the space chorus mode since this is a laid back event. Space chorus is basically a clean guitar tone with sum spacy sounding effects. Copy this linkk to hear a sample . Of cos I did tinker with it abit so it is not eactly as shown.

Well dudes I had my audition today at akar karya and here is the stuff that hapened.

Went to jason's house to wait for him and cher hao came but jason was held up in the bank so we waited and I gave cher hao sum pointless pointers on guitar playing and then cher hao left when i went to pick up jason. went to see eugene teh's band eprform and they were good unlike me whom btw i screwed the band up which i will touch on later.

Su Ann came and then we waited for kok and the 'judges' to come cos they were stuck in ur everyday subang jaya exhilirating traffic jam. WHen they arrived eugene's band was near flawless. They played this:-

2. she will be loved - maroon 5
4. harder to breathe - marron 5
5. stand by me - god knows how many people played this

Then came us.....

- i fucked this up by playing the solo sloppyly and oh btw i suck too bad

- i fucked this up too cos kok ming never sang his verse so i got lost and didnt play the solo

- surprisingly i pulled this off with no hitch.....must be my jarma dissing punk bands (T T)

if it werent for kok ming's strong vocal show and our 'contacts' we are screrwed but we made it.....oh god please don't let this happen again. on a brighter note i tried the roland synth and it was SUPER FUN!!!

Poor woman......FINALLY DIED. Dammit this should have come ages ago. Personally I think her parents shouldn't have involved the civil rights groups and the media. I mean the x-ray on her brain showed that she's clinically a vegetable and why cant they see it for the husbands prespective, he could be telling the truth. C'mon man those so called 'signs' of life can be just reflexes that may not even be her own will. Imagine living in a body that is your own prison, not being able to communicate or do anything like the soldier in Metallica's song 'One'. It's a fate that can drive anyone to insanity and death would be a release. Places like indonesia deserva that kind of media coverage AND they need all theh elp they can get by massive exposure as many more lives are at stake there instead of focusing on one life that probably wants to die. Dumbass rights groups.....

Finally a fuckin' update. Today was the second practice with the gig band. Went preety well minus the timing hickups. Hopefully we will be ready soon. Yesterdays was the 1st practice which went BAD cos we were confused bout the song structure. Today we had a mini combo BUT it ended up confusing me cos i cant realli hear whats going on thx to the fact that the others weren't as tight in playing as they should be so it was one heck of a sound cocktail but it turned out good none the less.

Yesterday also I had a really late jam with teko, eugene the newstead jaw and faizal who ended up reading my novels instead of music. Played the usally wankery but this time with eugene doing the newstead funny face so it was kinda hillarious. The Laney amp also saw action when plugged to teko's jackson, sings like a bird. Very nice and all......

Today also I visited my dad for ching beng and keep him company for the thing along with my cousins foo and winnie who went back to kampar to do the ching beng ritual at my grandparents on my dads side.

Been an eventful holiday. Met up with my high school friends, went back to muar, saw teko get his guitar and basically just laying back. I kinda hoped this will never end, but it did. Gone will be my bumming around, endless wandering about, music exploration, and hanging out. Lets hope my newest season with APIIT wont be as grueling as last time. A few friends have moced off from APIIT or shall I say UCTI. They will be missed. AIhz, anyhow guys the song walking in memphis by marc cohn is now how i feel. Short entry again like I always do cos.....aihz just no mood :(

YAY, TEKO GOT HIS JACKSON AXE!!!!

It plays awesome aside from sum issues that can easily be ironed out by setup. The guitar looks like a Ibanez S Series with some wood grain look with HSH pickups config and a floyd plus offset inlays. Looks damn nice and plays well too. CONGREATS. Finally got a shredders aex.

Today also jammed with teko with the usual things then we went to makan with faizal. Jam again at teko's place. Faizal was doin sum crazy shreds on the swashbucker track that I and him wrote. Then sum embarassing things happened on my place until faizal's skin melted :( SOrry arr guys

Well it was not too bad, me and teko played burning times with sum sloppyness on my side. Eugene was on fire though, looked like a friggin jazz virtuoso man. Had great fun there.

I also read on the Taiwan and CHina thing. Real messy business cos the Chinese Congress gave their military a blank cheque to invade taiwn on their interpretation on idependence. Really messy business cos I don't think the UN will be alble to do much and who knows world war 3 may happen as America and Japan pledged to defend Taiwan. AIhz......what a world we live in.

Sorry teko and eugene.....feel really bad now :( Cant make it I also found out that Daryl got offended by my post in kok ming's blog. Well sometimes I do go too damn far with things. Oh well.

Ahahaha, another uneventful day, helped out my mom with stuff and played dawn of war. Of cos now I am kinda happy cos i can finally handle burning times intro riff. Now I'm rotting with the second riff. Jon Schaffer is damn gila in riffing man. Better than hetfield in many aspects.
